If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 30 percent of total price of the reservation will be charged. Area Information
Rethymno is surrounded by mountains. East of the prefecture is mountain Psiloritis (2456m), the highest and most famous of Crete. Southwest of Psiloritis is the mountain chain of Kerdos (1777m). At the northeast end of Rethymno is situated mountain Kouloukounas or Talea Mountains, while southwest of the prefecture is mountain Kryoneritis (1312).
Rethymno is mostly mountainous with relatively little alterations of morphology. The lowlands are located in the north shores of Rethymno. From the endless vineyards is produced the fine cretan olive oil. During your tour around the prefecture you will see the olive groves, where the famous wine and tsikoudia (cretan grape spirit) are produced.

Der Pool und die Gartenanlage sind in jeder Hinsicht einmalig sch?n. Die Angestellten des Hotels sind ehrlich freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Auch die N?he zum Strand ist perfekt. Dort findet man bei der River-Taverne Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirme gratis, wenn man etwas zu trinken bestellt. Der Ort hat viele Tavernen und Rethymno ist nicht weit. Beim Fr?hst?ck kann man sch?n drau?en sitzen. Das Abendessen k?nnen wir nicht beurteilen, hatten wir nicht gebucht. Selten fiel uns ein Abschied vom Urlaubshotel so schwer. | 5 |

| AlexandraSat 07 Sep, 2013 | Old-fashioned Hotel for matured-very loud street in front of the balcony, even my second rooms on the side was not better (in contrast to the "garden" rooms I felt very disappointed) -dishes were unhealthy, very oily, simple, even the beverages (e.g., no original coca cola) -I`ve never had such a bad breakfast (everyday the same, very limited variety, no scrambled eggs [the one I saw stunk awful], no pancakes, delicious bread, very cheap jam) -I prefered to eat at the River Taverna on the beach (very delicious food!) - I wasn`t allowed to have my dinner on the terrace which I liked more than the dinning hall in the cellar I think May Beach is an appropriate place for matured people who want to enjoy simple all-inclusive plain fare. I wouldn`t recommend it to young, modern singles like me. But the garden was really great. It was the best place to relax ever!! | 4 |

One does not have to cross any big streets and needs only a couple of minutes to reach a calm part of a long beach starting by Rethymnon. This part is situated between two more populated parts of the beach, so one can relax or go further and be among people. Hotel also has a pool area, big and nice and not directly near the road, but in the backyard. The bus stop is in ca. 100 m from the hotel door and has a sign for it, not like ones in Platanias. One can also book excursions in hotel, some of them are cheaper, than the same ones in Platanias. | 5 |
